Undergrad Co-op - Operations Transformation and Digital Strategy - Remote (Summer 2026)

      What You Will Do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world.

Operations Transformation and Digital Strategy (OTDS) improves business performance across Amgen Operations by scaling CI 2.0—Continuous Improvement and Artificial Intelligence. We partner with Operations to deliver sustained business improvements through execution excellence.

      About This Role:

As an OTDS intern, you will design and pilot a Continuous Improvement tracker that accelerates Operations work through CI 2.0. You will support the development of a CI project tracker that uses AI-guided Lean Six Sigma coaching to improve project visibility, quality, and adoption across the global CI network.

In this role, you will develop practical skills in Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma by applying CI 2.0 methodologies. You will gain hands-on experience designing and piloting AI-enabled tools that improve project visibility, execution, and scalability across a global CI network. The role also builds strong data analytics and stakeholder engagement skills by translating business needs into solutions and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and impact.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Design and pilot CI Project Tracker – support the build of CI project intake modeled after existing CI Award program structure. Help define the needed data fields, logic tagging, and Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control phase tracking.
      • Contribute to pilot testing and feedback ensuring continuous iteration of solution to address evolving business needs.
      • AI-guided enablement – Assist in designing AI prompt logic that coaches users from Define phase through Control phase. Partner with CI stakeholders to ensure guidance rigor for problem statements, Critical to Quality, root causes, and control plans.
      • Identify network-level CI insights – analyze CI data to surface: active CI projects, cycle times, and bottlenecks that may delay project progress.
      • Leverage AI to enhance, simplify, and accelerate process innovation.
