      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Accurately assess medical history according to underwriting criteria
      - Understand and evaluate different underwriting criteria for various product offerings
      - Communicate with applicants to clarify medical history and gather additional information
      - Review applications within established turnaround times
      - Provide clear and complete written correspondence for denied coverage decisions
      - Build and maintain relationships with other members of the new business team

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School diploma
      - 1+ years of prior Healthcare Underwriting experience
      - Medical knowledge or prior medical insurance-related work experience
      - Above average knowledge of medical conditions/prescriptions
      - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
      - Ability to meet production and quality standards
