What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and guide an assigned underwriting team in compliance with corporate guidelines
- Implement effective underwriting practices while managing agent relationships to drive profitability
- Educate agents on company products and services to generate new business opportunities
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing coaching and support as needed
- Conduct audits on new business and renewals to ensure compliance and quality standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business administration, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of six years of commercial lines underwriting experience
- Strong knowledge of underwriting and risk analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPCU designation or other underwriting-related certifications
- Proven ability to motivate and lead a team effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills with sound decision-making abilities
- Familiarity with social media and advanced computer skills
