What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Deliver training programs for new and existing staff, ensuring alignment with current underwriting practices
- Develop learning materials and coordinate training logistics to enhance onboarding processes
- Participate in audits and quality reviews to uphold underwriting standards and compliance
- Assist in managing system access and maintaining data integrity for underwriting tools
- Support research and development initiatives to meet departmental needs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent business experience
- Minimum 5 years of comprehensive underwriting experience with a proven track record in managing complex cases
- Advanced understanding of underwriting functions, including risk assessment and decision-making
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in developing and delivering training programs
- Proficiency in managing digital auditing tools and systems, such as Digital Owl and SharePoint
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset, with proficiency required for candidates in Québec
