What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate situations and conduct thorough evaluations to process new business applications efficiently
- Identify and verify underwriting requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Utilize various systems and tools to support multiple underwriting areas, demonstrating proficiency in soft phone handling
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to analyze complex information and recommend process improvements
- Deliver exceptional customer service by providing appropriate product/process support and maintaining clear communication
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong customer service and call center skills with the ability to assess customer needs
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and adhere to department expectations in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, including email, data entry, and Microsoft products
- Excellent attention to detail with effective time management and organizational skills
- Must be located in the United States or Puerto Rico and able to work remotely
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in insurance or underwriting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual in Spanish
