What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Mentor team members in monitoring, analyzing, and remediating cyber events following established procedures
- Lead the development and enhancement of security operations center processes and incident response protocols
- Modify alert logic to improve detection accuracy and identify advanced cyber risks using big data analytics
- Manage containment and recovery efforts for cyber incidents, ensuring effective mitigation and prevention strategies
- Conduct cyber risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area, and 2 years of experience in intrusion analysis or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company, or 4 years of experience in intrusion analysis or related area
- Extensive knowledge of Security Operations Center processes and intrusion detection methodologies
- Proficiency with Cyber Incident Response protocols and mitigation strategies
- Experience utilizing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools for threat detection and analysis
- Strong skills in data analytics, including scripting and statistical techniques, to support exploratory data analysis
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification in Security+, Network+, GISF, CISA, CISSP, CCSP, or GCIH
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related area
- Background in creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards
- Experience with assistive technologies and integrating digital accessibility into projects
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices aligned with Walmart’s standards
