      The Valuation Senior Associate is responsible for valuing and reviewing valuations for select public and private fixed income and/or equity holdings. Under limited supervision, this job works independently on projects and processes related to one or multiple of the following portfolios: bonds, equities, commercial mortgages, commercial real estate, real assets, private equity and derivatives. This job also monitors third-party providers and pricing, along with consistently maintaining updated knowledge of market conditions and fundamentals.

      Key Responsibilities and Duties
      • Develops valuation models of private and public investment portfolio holdings while also monitoring and challenging third-party or General Partner valuations based on supporting data.
      • Conducts and reviews variance analysis of portfolio valuations used to identify mass-priced holdings to determine the source and potential risk of variance, and to develop plans to address impact of variance in reporting.
      • Prepares and delivers requested valuations and pricing solutions to internal clients, auditors and regulators while maintaining frequent communication with internal and external auditors in an effort to mitigate any potential risk facing the organization.
      • Conducts independent research to develop and maintain a broad understanding of current and future macro and micro market conditions and market fundamentals that may impact pricing and valuations.
      • Develops and updates processes and procedures that incorporate the required level of controls and reduce potential risk, while delivering well-supported valuations and credit losses as required for respective accounts.
      • Determines an estimate of fair market pricing when third party pricing is unavailable or deemed unreasonable.

      REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

      • 3+ years of experience with Valuations, Accounting (Financial Analysis, Income Statements or Balance Sheets) or Asset Management Required

      PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

      • 5+ years of experience with Valuations, Accounting (Financial Analysis, Income Statements or Balance Sheets) or Asset Management Preferred

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

      • CFA accreditation or progress towards attaining the designation

      • Experience working within a Financial Institution

      • Private equity, renewable energy, or private company business valuation experience

      • Experience with Asset Valuation and/or Asset/Investment Modeling

      Base Pay Range: $84,000/yr. - $127,000/yr.

      Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
