      Reports To: Regional Supervisor

      Compensation Range: $39.00 to $45.00 an hour

      Sign-On Bonus: $500 after 90 days of employment

      As our next Vegetation Program Lead, you're on your way to the open road and traveling the trails! We keep the lights on anywhere there's a power line - whether in the city, the rural countryside, or deep in the remote forest. As a Vegetation Program Lead, you'll keep communities informed about the trees and power lines, while ensuring safe delivery of their power and pursuing opportunities to develop sustainable habitat throughout the utility right-of-way.       ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:

      1. Lead vegetation management operations, project teams, emergency response, and outside contractor work performance.
      2. Coordinate the daily activities of Consulting Utility Foresters (CUF's)
      3. Act as the intermediary between Eocene personnel and Utility Personnel
      4. Train, supervise, and audit CUF's
      5. Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines
      6. Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations
      7. Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues
      8. Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customer
      9. Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area
      10. Help enforce on-the-job safety practices
      11. Carry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment at work site
      12. Service trucks and equipment. Keep trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion. Report the need for equipment and truck repairs to supervisor.
      13. Perform other related duties as required or assigned

      JOB REQUIREMENTS:

      1. A State issued Driver's License is required for this job assignment. A clear MVR is also required
      2. Degree or experience in Forestry, Utility Arboriculture, Tree Biology, Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources, Conservation, or related field
      3. Four (4) years of job-related experience with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, as a team leader or project leader.
      4. Minimum of Two (2) years of experience in emergency response and/or hazard tree removal projects along utility rights of way.
      5. ISA Certified Arborist Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
      6. Utility Specialist certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
      7. An ability to interact with customers, government agencies and other stakeholders as required or directed
      8. Superior species identification skills and invasive species knowledge, plus knowledge of tree growth rates
      9. Ability to work independently
      10. Strong verbal and written communications skills
      11. Ability to work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
      12. Ability to read and follow maps
