Job Description

- Answering phones and scheduling appointments.
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during patient exams and treatments.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and appropriately.
- Obtain patient histories and update medical records.
- Educate clients on general pet care, vaccines, and preventative medicine.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment.
- Prepare and administer medications under veterinary supervision.
- Support with laboratory sample collection, x-rays, and other diagnostic testing.
- Assist in handling prescription medications and refills per veterinary instructions.
- Provide compassionate and professional client communication.
- 1+ years of clinical experience as a Veterinary Assistant.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and guide clients.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
Willingness to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

About VCA All About Pets Animal Hospital:
Our AHAA-accredited hospital focuses on preventative care, routine wellness exams, and client education to ensure pets receive the best possible medical attention.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Compensation: $ 17 - 25 /hr
Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities are available.
Schedule: Full-Time opportunity.
