      Company Description

      Pet accidents, illnesses, and injuries are all unfortunate and seem to always happen at the worst of times when primary care veterinarians are either closed or too busy to see the pet. For these reasons, we are excited to announce that our new Creature Comforts Animal Emergency Clinic will be coming soon!

      Creature Comforts Animal Emergency Clinic is an up and coming addition to the Creature Comforts Veterinary Resorts and Suites in Inman, SC. CCVRS has united some of the finest talent in the Upstate area for Veterinary Care, and we are excited to extend our reach to include Emergency Services! Our new hospital teams aims to be a trusted partner in the lives of pets while offering the highest in quality of innovative medicine for pets experiencing urgent medical situations.

      Our hours of operation will be:

      • Monday - Thursday: 4 pm - 12 am midnight
      • Friday - Monday: 24 hours

      Job Description

      Job duties include, but are not limited to:

      Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

      Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

      Qualifications

      We’re looking for:

      • An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
      • Must be able to properly restrain pets.
      • Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
      • Compassionate and calm team-player.
      • Ability to multi-task.
      • Strong communication skills.
      • Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
