- Shift: Full-time, 9-hour shifts, Monday through Saturday. Afternoons from 12 PM (noon) to 9 PM.
- Specialty surgeries begin at 1 PM, this includes Orthopedic surgeries!
- Emergency cases are seen regularly
- Perfect for college students with morning classes!
- Shift differential: $3 for each hour worked starting at 7 PM M-F and all day Saturday.
- Compensation: $15-19/hour, for each hour worked*
- Bonus Package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

Payson Family Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our afternoon surgery and urgent care team!
Our Veterinary Assistants are key in providing exceptional patient care, focusing on surgery and hospitalized patients. They coordinate and execute treatment plans while offering compassionate and thorough care.
If you enjoy an environment that’s never boring, this is the role for you! With surgeries starting at 1 PM, the shift offers a dynamic mix of surgery, urgent cases, routine care, and caring for hospitalized pets. Every day brings something new, making each shift exciting and rewarding.
Not a morning person? This might be the perfect fit for you! This full-time position includes four 9-hour shifts per week, offering an excellent work-life balance. Shifts run from 12 PM (noon) to 9 PM, with availability needed Monday through Saturday. You'll gain exposure to a variety of surgeries, including orthopedics and emergency procedures like GDVs and pyometras. Additionally, a shift differential applies starting at 7 PM Monday through Friday and all day Saturday.
