      VCA Animal Hospital of Plainfield is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our Patient Care Team!

      Schedule: Full-time opportunities available with flexible scheduling, 4 x10 hour shifts.

      Your Responsibilities Will Include:

      • Assisting doctors and technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures

      • Patient handling and restraint

      • Performing TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration) and patient observations

      • Administering oral and topical medications as directed

      • Cleaning and maintaining exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment

      • Preparing and restocking surgical and treatment areas

      • Supporting client communication and education

      • Maintaining accurate medical records and assisting with discharge instructions

      • Providing compassionate care to hospitalized pets
