      VCA Laurelhurst Animal Hospital is a growing and vibrant 7-doctor, AAHA accredited, small animal practice located in the Laurelhurst area of NE Portland. We have been serving the Laurelhurst community and surrounding area for many years. We are a fast-paced, modern, paperless hospital that provides wellness and preventative care, advanced nursing care, digital radiology, ultrasonography, surgery, dentistry, hospitalization, client education, and much more.

      Compensation : $ 22 / hr

      Schedule : 4/10s with rotating Saturdays


      We are a supportive team dedicated to providing the highest level of patient and client care. The majority of our doctors & staff are Fear Free Certified. We are seeking a FT experienced Technician or Veterinary Assistant who a passion for the human-animal bond.

      Our goal is to provide our veterinary teams with the tools and resources to be successful and to encourage professional growth and learning. We have a unique culture in our hospital that values each person’s individual skill and personality.

      As a member of the VCA Laurelhurst team, you will support the Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

      Venipuncture
      • catheter placement
      • radiology
      • anesthesia monitoring
      • physical examinations and patient assessment
      • surgical preparation and assisting
      • dentistry
      • laboratory work
      • pharmacy
      • patient recovery
      • compassionate care for our hospitalized patients

      Client Education
      Supporting DVM team in outpatient appointments
