      VCA Manito Animal Hospital is expanding its patient care team and is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant!

      Schedule: 4 - 5 days per week. The hospital is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

      COMPENSATION: is between $16.66 - $19.00, dependent on experience.

      As an AAHA-accredited practice, we adhere to the highest standards of veterinary medicine, providing top-notch medical care, advanced diagnostics, and innovative treatment options. We are excited to offer new nuclear medicine treatments such as I-131 for feline hyperthyroidism and SynovetinOA for Canine Osteoarthritis, ensuring that we can tailor our approach to meet the unique needs of each patient.       In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:
      • Maintaining medical records.
      • Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.
      • Filling prescriptions.
      • Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
      • Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.

      • Answering phones.

      • Scheduling and confirming appointments.
      • Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
      • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments

      What We’re Looking For:

      • 6 months of previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant
      • Passionate about animal care and client service
      • Strong teamwork and communication skills
      • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
