What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Triage clinical situations via telephone to determine the need for immediate treatment or alternative care
- Collaborate with ER veterinary staff and other departments to assess patient needs and available services
- Provide compassionate advisement to clients and referrals in emergent situations
- Maintain accuracy and urgency while communicating with clients
- Utilize strong computer and phone skills to facilitate effective communication
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in veterinary emergency care and customer service
- At least 2 years of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician
- 1 year of call center experience
- Exceptional communication skills, including written, listening, and verbal
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) designation
- Experience working in an emergency setting within a veterinary clinic or hospital
