      Compensation: is dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule and additional responsibilities.

      As a member of the VCA team, you will support Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. You’ve wo rked hard for your credentials (CVT, RVT, LVT) and we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

      The successful Internal Medicine candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care—wi th t he ex pert ise and tec hnic al k now- how to make them ha p pen .

      The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

      • Venipuncture

      • Catheter placement

      • Radiology

      • Anesthesia monitoring

      • Physical examinations and patient assessment

      • Laboratory work

      • Pharmacy

      • Patient recovery

      • Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients

      Experience Requirements i nclude:

      • Previous Emergency or Specialty experience

      • Excellent problem-solving abilities

      • Strong attention to detail

      • Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on client care

      • Strong written and oral communication skills

      • Familiar with common disease processes

      • Strong medical math skills. (Including being able to calculate fluid rate, common CRI’s and multimodal drug infusion.)

      • Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care.

      • Administer medications, and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian

      • Experience in advanced imaging (preferred)

      • Experience in advanced procedures (preferred)
