Collaborate with the Data Analytics Leadership team to create and help to lead the segment’s strategic planning process, vision, mission, and overall direction through current and long-term strategic objectives and plans.
Own the selling strategies to grow Compile products in excess of the business case.
Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for acquisition expansion, new product expansion, customers, and markets to create actionable insights that better position McKesson relative to competitors.
Manage ongoing relationships with external business partners and/or customers to foster long-term strategic partnerships and business arrangements. Strategize and negotiate large customer contracts.
Proactively collaborate and build alignment with partners across the business to champion long-term success for customers with an Enterprise-first mindset.
Proactively build strong and diverse teams through external hiring and internal moves rooted in accountability and developing high-performing teams.
Practice transformational leadership, by nurturing the existing team, challenging current strategy and structure, and leading the team through change as needed to support the growth strategy and customer needs.

10+ years of national portfolio sales leadership or business development experience in complex businesses.
Extensive expertise in health care data/analytics, market access & value-based contracting, including payer experience.
Experience working with customer needs and requirements including data sourcing, data integration as well as identifying stakeholder needs and requirements driven by, economic, clinical & reported outcomes/endpoints.
Proven experience leading a portfolio business with demonstrated success building strategic plans that accelerate top and bottom-line growth for a large business segment.
Experience leading and building diverse / results-oriented sales teams at the national level, managing large corporate relationships with complex customers.
Develop strategy and business development to accelerate growth.
Track record of developing and operationalizing strategic initiatives that directly drive substantial portfolio growth in areas of strategy and business development. Success in doing so through collaboration, complex problem solving, and influence with all areas of a business to ensure alignment and positive results.
Education - Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline required, advanced degree highly preferred.
General office demands
Must have the ability to travel. High amount of overnight travel is required as well as frequent air travel.
Prefer candidate to be based in a major metro market (ideally East/Northeast US). Potentially can work out of office in home or office at McKesson location.

The Role
This leader will be directly responsible for developing, managing, and growing our Compile business within McKesson’s Medical-Surgical (MMS) business unit. This executive will oversee the full segment P&L and will be responsible for delivering critical subscription and revenue growth to the MMS P&L. This leader must be equally focused on providing exceptional value to our existing customers every day, driving strong renewal rates and identifying new customers or markets to enter to expand. S/he will nurture existing customers to drive business growth, retention, and advocacy, and will also be responsible for new business development. S/he will be expected to create and lead a comprehensive strategy comprised of both traditional growth levers, as well as those that challenge conventional wisdom and push us to new heights and drive to execution.
The VP will build and lead a world-class sales team of 15+ people. S/he will build and develop strategic business relationships externally with customers and internally with senior leaders across McKesson who might leverage the Compile offering as part of their product offering. The candidate must have the strategic horsepower combined with leadership experience and capabilities that allow him/her to assess the evolving landscape, craft a growth strategy, and inspire, motivate, and enlist support to drive forward. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills will enable this person’s success.

Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:
$301,000 - $501,600Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
