- Manage a staff of more than 50 employees and create, execute, and monitor revenue cycle processes:
- Verification of Benefits
- Billing
- Payor Collections
- Patient accounts
- Cash posting
- Maintenance & operation of the EMR AR and billing system
- Maintenance and accuracy of the revenue cycle database
- Coordinate with Admissions, Utilization Review, Compliance, IT, and field operations to ensure:
- All billable services performed are billed in a timely fashion
- Bills are accurate and meet payor requirements
- Payments are posted timely and accurately
- A system is in place to evaluate all non-payments and denials promptly and track payment/denial statistics in order identify billing problems or payor issues
- AR is properly stated, and reserves adequately account for the risk of collection
- Services are properly documented and that all medical records requests are promptly and completely addressed
- Maintain and develop the Billing and AR systems and coordinate with Information Technology to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and security of the electronic systems.
- Develop a system of KPIs, dashboards, and other reports that track the productivity and effectiveness of each revenue cycle department.
- Track data on revenue, rate, collections and AR by location, level of care, payer, and payment type.
- Constantly monitor payment activity to determine payment trends and changes in payor behvavior.
- Work closely with the Admissions team to support the admissions process.
- Management of department budget and meeting overall company financial goals such as collections targets and DSO.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Extensive background in Revenue Cycle systems, including system selection and implementation.
- Experience with Healthcare analytics, reimbursement and payor contracting.
- Proven experience in Revenue cycle management for a Healthcare operation on excess of $400M in Revenue.

Responsibilities
The VP, Revenue Cycle is the executive responsible for management of the Revenue Cycle organization and process to ensure the timely and accurate billing of services provided and maximizing collections on all billings. The VP, Revenue Cycle partners with finance and operations and provides recommendations and information to help manage the business.
