What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct individual needs assessments for victims/survivors of alcohol and drugged driving crashes to provide emotional support and referrals
- Develop and implement tailored case management action plans, including grief support and crisis intervention
- Accompany victims to justice proceedings and advocate for their rights within the legal system
- Perform community needs assessments to guide the development of victim services and outreach strategies
- Maintain accurate case records and statistical information in accordance with organizational standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field (e.g., social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice) with at least one year of experience in victim advocacy or grief support
- Reliable transportation for court attendance and a flexible schedule
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with attention to grammar and clarity
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining professionalism in a dynamic environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers for victim service initiatives
- Familiarity with grant writing and reporting processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with data entry skills
