What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct individual needs assessments for victims/survivors of alcohol and drugged driving crashes to provide emotional support and appropriate referrals
- Create and implement tailored case management action plans for victims, including crisis intervention and support group facilitation
- Accompany victims to justice proceedings and advocate for their rights within the legal system
- Conduct community needs assessments and develop outreach strategies to connect with victims and survivors
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist with victim service initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field (social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice) with at least one year of experience in victim advocacy or grief support
- Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule for court attendance
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in grant writing and reporting
- Familiarity with community resource networks and social service systems
- Previous volunteer management experience
- Knowledge of the criminal and civil justice systems
- Commitment to the mission of supporting victims of alcohol and drugged driving
