What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Model and train staff in Positive Behavior Support methodology
- Conduct behavioral assessments and provide analytic interpretations of results
- Design, monitor, and report on behavior plans for clients
- Provide direct behavioral treatment and skills coaching in various settings
- Participate in relevant committees and on-call rotations for behavioral issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (certified through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board)
- Minimum of two years of experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline
- Documented completion of 10 hours of annual continuing education related to behavior supports
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively in various situations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Specialized training in applied behavior principles and risk identification
- Experience in crisis management and de-escalation techniques
- Familiarity with policies and procedures relevant to behavioral health services
