What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage virtual school students in a computer lab setting to ensure a productive learning environment
- Take daily attendance and monitor student progress in virtual courses
- Communicate student behavior and course progress concerns to appropriate school personnel
- Collaborate with virtual teachers to support student learning
- Assist students in the computer lab and communicate with parents as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus passing a District Assessment
- Educational Aide Certification
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with high school students and adults
- High level of comfort with technology, including online learning environments
- Adherence to TEA and district policies and procedures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in an educational setting with high school students
- Familiarity with virtual teaching and learning tools
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
