What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, develop, and revise online courses using digital resources and the Canvas LMS
- Provide support and training to faculty in developing online courses using industry-standard authoring tools
- Monitor and respond to cases initiated by the Canvas 24/7 support team
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to create engaging online learning activities
- Develop technical documentation for online course development and support students with success coaching
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of five years of instructional design experience
- Proficiency with the Canvas learning management system
- Familiarity with streaming audio and video, compression methods, and file formats
- Working knowledge of instructional design theory and best practices
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Expertise with authoring tools and media production hardware and applications
- Demonstrated aptitude for team-based project management
- Knowledge of best practices in accessible course design
