What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a liaison between providers, facilities, pharmacies, insurance plans, support staff, and patients
- Respond to inbound requests via various channels, including phone calls and electronic messages
- Assist with virtual care activities under the direction of a provider
- Maintain provider schedules and prepare patients for telehealth encounters
- Administer patient portal services and authorize medical services and medications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assisting Diploma/Certificate from an accredited program
- 1 year of experience in a medical office setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Completion of an approved Medical Assisting training program or passing the medical assistant examination
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 0-2 years of experience as an Rx Technician or Customer Service Representative in a healthcare-related service
