  Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for a Visiting Instructional Assistant Professor of Clarinet to begin Fall 2025.

  This is a this is a 1-year non-tenure track visiting faculty position. Primary duties will include teaching 15 SCH per semester which includes teaching Applied Clarinet, Music History and/or Music Theory courses. Duties also include providing service on departmental committees, and college/university levels if necessary. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

  The Department of Fine and Performing Arts include disciplines of art, dance, music and theater. Our dynamic faculty component is constantly seeking multidisciplinary opportunities for collaboration.

  Required Qualifications

  The successful candidate must hold a doctoral degree or PhD in music with a specialization in Clarinet Performance ABDs will not be considered. We strongly encourage candidates with prior teaching experience at the collegiate level.

Financial support for professional development opportunities, such as attending academic conferences, is also provided. Moving expenses are covered in whole or in part by the university.
