What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop scientific illustrations and graphics for websites and social media
- Plan and create visual products that meet science communication needs
- Ensure all visual products meet accessibility standards
- Collaborate with scientists to create figures for publications and technical products
- Implement and maintain a brand guide for the organization
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Scientific illustration/graphic design or equivalent field
- 2+ years of experience in scientific illustration/graphic design
- Foundational knowledge in the biological and ecological sciences
- Familiarity with illustration and design principles
- Ability to meet accessibility standards for visual products
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in developing figures for scientific publications and research grant applications
