      Become a Volunteer at the Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, NE, as a Multi-State Ambassador and drive the legacy of American automotive history across state lines! As an ambassador, you'll represent our museum with passion and enthusiasm, engaging diverse communities to share the excitement of speed culture.


      Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, a deep appreciation for automotive history, and the ability to inspire others. Whether you're a seasoned leader in the automotive industry or a dedicated enthusiast, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact and be a part of preserving America's automotive heritage.

      Here are the specifics:


      Responsibilities include promoting museum events, leading educational initiatives, and fostering relationships with local enthusiasts and organizations to raise awareness and increase Museum visitation.


      Additional duties and responsibilities include:

      • Demonstrating knowledge of the mission, collections, and displays of the Museum.
      • Planning and leading multi-state strategies for the Museum, advancing awareness of and visitation of the Museum.
      • Advocating multi-state programs and activities developed by the Museum.
      • Participating in monthly meetings of the Ambassadors, in person or virtually.
      • Contributing weekly communication with Museum Staff via email.
      • Deploying the “History in the Making” Awards Program in their state.
      • Fulfilling other duties as volunteers of the Museum.


      We believe it is important for each Multi-State Ambassador to interview in person at the Museum, so that an applicant can fully grasp the scale and scope of the Museum and its operations.
