      Dupaco is seeking a dynamic Vice President, Business Market Manager to join our Business Lending team! This role will ensure the success of business lending portfolio growth and retention in their market. Also, this position is responsible for providing strategic planning, training, and a sense of direction for the team of lenders that focus on uncovering lending opportunities, growing business deposits, cash management, and relationship development.       What You'll Do:

      • Responsible for department’s daily work and creating and/or executing on strategic priorities and department operational plans.
      • Supervise and provide coaching and development for employees to ensure employees are engaged and effectively meeting expectations of their jobs.
      • Budget, monitor and approve operational expenses including training, workforce, and other department expenses.
      • Create and maintain collaborative internal and external relationships through internal peer groups / focus groups as well as various industry and/or community organizations both regionally and nationally.
      • Monitor current trends and insights brought forward by various surveys or other voice of the employee and member methods.
      • Exhibit overall Dupaco Leadership skills such as initiative, change management, and project management.
      • Provide quality service to members, potential members and coworkers.
      • Demonstrate teamwork and professionalism in all interactions with coworkers.
      • Promote a professional image of the credit union at all times.
      • Coach, manage, develop, and mentor business lending team members including but not limited to, Lenders, AVP Lenders, Portfolio Managers, and Administrative team members.
      • Responsible for individual loan production goals as well as management of own portfolio. May or may not have existing portfolio to onboard.
      • Prospects for loan members and develops relationships to include deposit, cash managements, and develops entirety of relationship.
      • Proactively guides lending team members in market on career development, call strategy, prospect development, negotiation, and closing techniques.
      • Responsible for the Business Lending team as well as encouraging and supporting deepening member relationships through business services and other credit union products and services.
      • Proactively manage market budget for loan growth and target attainment including portfolio growth, and new loan acquisition.
      • Create and nurture a network of centers of influence within market, including accountants, attorneys, and other professionals.
      • Work closely and collaboratively with credit team to appropriately manage credits including managing portfolio health and minimizing credit losses.
      • Provide direction, leadership, and coaching to business lending team, providing feedback and manage performance to ensure a productive and cohesive team.
      • Provide training and development of business lending staff in the analysis and structure of credits, development of relationships, closing of loans, working with delinquent borrowers, and disposition of assets.
      • Maintain deep and updated understanding of the credit union’s credit policies and risk management philosophy and applicable regulations and compliance requirements.
      • Calls on business members and potential members to promote the credit union and enhance relationships as well as, referring other lines of business to the appropriate areas.
      • Identifies and analyzes potential loan markets to develop prospects for business loans and grow market share.
      • May be responsible for Mergers and Acquisition retention activity in assigned market.
      • Interviews applicants and underwrites all types of business loans through existing loan policy guidelines. Collects and analyzes financial related data to determine the general creditworthiness of the prospect and the merits of the specific loan request; submits application to credit analyst for verification and recommendation.
      • Works collaboratively with leadership in Business Services, Business Processing, Credit, and Branch to improve the member experience and develop individual and department goals that support enhanced product usage which in turn develops deeper relationships and increased engagement with business owners.
      • Strong advocate for credit unions politically, especially specific to their region and/or state.
      • Work collaboratively with the retail banking teams to fully develop and execute our Business Banking Retail Strategy
      • Coordinate with Member Solutions to resolve credit issues, oversee loan workouts, monitor loan repayment, trouble debt restructuring, asset recovery, and collect past due accounts, as necessary.
      • Keeps abreast of general economic conditions and industry trends. Well-informed about competitive rates, terms, products and services especially specific to their market. Actively participates in establishing rates.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      What You'll Need:

      • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
      • 5+ years business lending and supervisory experience, required.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
      • Ability to interpret and analyze financial data and make sound business lending decisions.
      • Thorough knowledge of business financial statements and cash flows analysis, required.
      • Thorough knowledge of business and consumer lending laws and regulations, required.
