- Strategic Collaboration: Work with CEOx, NETx, RPG, Medical Groups, employees, and staff to prioritize enterprise initiatives driving strategic redesign outcomes.
- Business Function Redesign: Facilitate the redesign of business functions to maximize economies of scale and improve experiences and outcomes while reducing operating costs.
- Project Management: Manage and track major enterprise strategic cost structure initiatives, creating an accelerated execution approach.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Gain cross-entity and cross-market support for business redesign, challenging leaders to achieve maximum benefits.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to minimize redundancy, optimize automation/technology, and reinforce continuous improvement.
- Executive Influence: Engage strategic executives across the enterprise in cost structure improvements.
- Partnership Development: Develop strategic partnerships with enterprise leaders to collaborate on initiatives for effective outcomes.
- Financial Planning: Ensure benefits/value realization for each enterprise and regional strategic initiative.
- Best Practices Implementation: Lead the implementation and spread of best practices, including change management, across KP regions and national functions.
- Resource Management: Assess and manage resources and team structures to optimize business execution.
- Outcome Management: Drive end-to-end outcomes while balancing other business needs.
- National Partner Collaboration: Partner with IT, HR, Finance, Communications, Labor, Digital, etc., to balance organizational changes with regulatory and system requirements.
- Roadmap Execution: Develop and execute roadmaps and action plans.
- Talent Management: Recruit and develop talent, support diversity, equity, and inclusion, and plan for succession.
Job Summary:The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Business Optimization and Redesign, with the strategic goal of transforming the cost structure of Kaiser Permanente while enhancing the quality and experience of care. Rapidly improving the cost structure is essential to delivering our mission of affordability and growth. This key leadership role supports major strategic programs by bringing specialized skills and structure to assessment, design, implementation, and benefits realization. By deploying standard operating models and enhancing business platforms, this role contributes significantly to the bottom line. The position works with the CEOx, NETx, and Regional Presidents Group (RPG) to identify, prioritize, and rapidly implement strategic initiatives aligned with KP’s strategic plan. This role will partner with Health Plan, Hospital, Medical Groups, and key national strategic partners to facilitate the execution of initiatives that contribute significantly to cost/benefit realization.

This position has a target base salary of $256,500 to $320,625 and is eligible for incentive compensation, an executive allowance, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
