Job Summary The Vice President, Construction and Engineering is a senior executive position that is responsible for providing leadership to the California Region including Network Expansion, State Compliance, Power Resiliency, and local Engineering point of contact. The position will be part of a high functioning team of Vice Presidents and member of the Regional Senior Leadership Team. This role will require that the incumbent be based out of the Regional office located in Livermore, CA. Job Description Core Responsibilities: Provides leadership for Construction teams to insure all are performed optimally and in compliance with Company standards of quality and efficiency. Responsible for execution of network expansion, upgrades, and local capacity. Work collaboratively with local Tech Ops teams, Division and National support teams responsible for implementing superior network reliability. Maintain and support multiple site facility standards including infrastructure, design, and system powering. Establishes and maintains recommended construction standards and practices Provides oversight of work activities regarding installation, site survey, and construction coordination of commercial customers. Deliver fast-paced growth production of new construction supporting system growth initiatives. Ensures accuracy of all plant design and addressing consistency. Negotiates pricing; implements and manages the On-Target/Dig-Safe contracts to guarantee the most fluid network underground plant protection operating procedures and the best financial pricing for the region within the division. Aligns performance metrics to support the achievement of business, department, and team goals. Works closely with division and region staff to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting, measuring, and monitoring new build and commercial opportunities. Works closely with Corporate/Legal to ensure that all contractors/vendors meet all Company guidelines for Certificate of Insurances and Company Master Agreements. Works with commercial lead to develop and implement overall strategies that will support both residential and commercial initiatives. Practices and ensures Company safety policies and procedures are followed. Works with staff to recruit and retain top engineering and construction talent. Partners with external agencies and organizations to create beneficial relationships. Leads by example in creating an environment that encourages open communication, sharing ideas and best practices, and building strong cross-functional relationships. Responsible for managing a large operational and capital budget. Strategically works with other functional leaders in forecasting customer activity and resulting resource requirements at each of the operating areas; identifies and manages resource allocation and needed. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent is preferred. Generally requires 15+ years related experience. 5-10 years of experience in telecommunications management. Demonstrated success in the following core proficiencies: Transformational thinking complimented by shaping and implementing strategy; business orientation to include functional depth and breadth within telecommunications’ operations and strong financial and budgetary skills. Strong decision making skills coupled with the ability to lead change. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that will contribute to team development and in working with other stakeholders including governmental agencies and senior management. Respect for others, personal responsibility, adaptability to change, and a passion and motivation to approach all aspects of the job with optimism and enthusiasm. Relevant Work Experience 15 Years + Salary: Primary Location Pay Range: $275,047.00 - $412,570.50 Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
