- Set and execute the technology & digital transformation strategy for quality assurance and quality control for GSC to drive product quality, reduce errors and defects, and improving the productivity.
- Work constructively with the key internal stakeholders and establish trusted partnerships.
- Provide effective management of Quality technology strategy, investments, and project portfolio across GSC. Conduct rigorous product portfolio planning and analysis to ensure optimum prioritization.
- Ensure stability, reliability and security of operational Quality systems and processes. Support the business continuity planning and preparation.
- Ensure that Quality systems meet compliance requirements for both internal policies and external regulations (Cyber Security, Data Privacy, GxP, CSV etc.).
- Transform the organization into a business-focused agile organization, with an effective Product operating model.
- Establish clear accountabilities and stretch objectives for direct reports, and coach to maximize performance and potential. Attract, select, retain and develop key technology talent within reporting line.
- Contribute to the enterprise through influence and participation in the wider leadership of Tech as a key member of the Supply Chain Digital & Tech LT and the Global Tech Senior Leaders forum.
- Partner with other Tech Teams to ensure alignment with the Global Tech Operating Model, key standards, and best use of resources across the organization is achieved.
- Agree annual financial plan and deliver budget to plan.
- Bachelor’s Degree - Technical degree eg. Engineering, Information Technology
- Min. 10 years relevant (e.g. Programme Management, Service Management, Business Partner) experience in major global Tech organization
- Track record in successful Tech strategy development, solution design, programme and product delivery, service and vendor management
- Expert knowledge of GxP requirements and computer systems validation is essential.
- Track record in delivering business impact through process and Tech enabled solutions
- Excellent relationship management, strong influencing and communication skills
- Deep content knowledge of respective functional area (business operating models, processes & products)
- Knowledge and assessment of emerging trends (both functional and technical) within domain
- Experience and proven track record of working as part of agile development teams
- Master’s Degree
Global Supply Chain (GSC) plays a critical role in the GSK strategy to get ahead of disease together . The GSC manufacturing and supply network supports the sourcing, manufacturing, and supplying of small molecule, large molecule, and vaccines products globally. This network consists of an extensive global footprint of sites across North and South America, Europe, and Far East. This manufacturing network and organization supports approximately £20bn of revenue for GSK. Within GSC the control and assurance of product quality is key to GSK’s license to operate and our commitment to stakeholders.
The GSC Quality strategy is anchored in a new Quality Ambition , which aims to position quality as a competitive advantage. This strategy will drive significant modernisation of the quality process and systems landscape over the next decade. This role will play a key role in designing and delivering this modernisation.
The VP Quality Digital and Technology is accountable for designing and delivering the quality systems product roadmap that supports the GSC Quality strategic priorities. The VP will work collaboratively with stakeholders to agree on priorities and build plans to deliver against those priorities. The VP Quality Digital and Technology will have ownership and responsibility for the product domains within the Quality product suite, including Quality Assurance and Quality Control product areas, across all GSC including the small molecule, large molecule and vaccines networks. This responsibility covers a highly regulated area of operations and expert knowledge of pharmaceutical quality control and assurance, pharmaceutical testing laboratory environments, GxP and computer systems validation is critical for the role.
The VP Quality Digital and Technology must be recognized as a go to leader and trusted advisor for quality systems technology, working collaboratively and adaptively to meet the new Quality Ambition and deliver value to GSK.
