      The VP of Primary and Small Molecule (PSM) Manufacturing Digital and Technology (D&T) reports directly to the SVP Global Supply Chain D&T and dotted line to the SVP Primary and Small Molecule Manufacturing and is accountable for all manufacturing and supply chain D&T operations for the PSM manufacturing segment. The manufacturing segment consists of fifteen pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in Europe, UK and Asia. Operational responsibilities include ensuring all technology is performing and available so medicines can be produced, technology risk management for the segment including information security, cyber security and obsolescence mgmt., regulatory compliance and inspection readiness and ensuring the digital and technology needs of the segment are met and technology implementations are successful.

      Key Responsibilities

      STRATEGY: Accountable to define, communicate and deliver the Primary and Small Molecule Technology Strategy that will enable efficient manufacturing and supply chain operations. Delivery will require clear understanding of the pharmaceutical business strategy, manufacturing and supply chain challenges, and technology solutions (package and custom) to drive desired business outcomes.

      SMART MFG – TOUCHLESS OPERATIONS: Enable touchless operations Smart Manufacturing sites in Medicines through MES implementation, factory integration layer, historian, and interoperability with manufacturing equipment.

      RESILIENT TECHNOLOGY: Revise operational support processes for GSK’s global supply chain to ensure highly available technology as dependence on technology increases.

      CORPORATE TECH SECURITY SERVICES: Enable Information Security with a focus on Cyber Security by delivering OT network/Geo-segmentation controls and managing obsolescence GSK’s supply chain.

      ENTERPRISE PROGRAMS: Deliver enterprise technology programs that span GSK’s supply chain including but not limited to cloud infrastructure migration and biometric authentication deployment.

      PEOPLE LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT: Build organization to deliver objectives. Expect overall management of 75+ employees. Establish clear accountabilities and objectives for direct reports, stretch and coach to maximize performance and potential

      Experience

      • Undergraduate degree in Business & Information Technology or Equivalent

      • Technology leadership experience in a complex Pharma manufacturing environment, including 10+ sites, globally located around the world

      • Expertise in the intersection of Information Technology and Operational Technology with ability to design end to end solutions in collaboration with engineering equipment and automation teams as well as enterprise technology

      • Expertise in designing Lights-out manufacturing technology with high availability across then entire IT and OT stack.

      • Breadth of technology leadership capability cover operational stability to high level strategy, leading and collaborating with direct and indirect teams inside and outside of GSK and with the highest levels of Manufacturing leadership

      • Experience of building relationships, approving, and holding external service partners to account.

      • Demonstrated execution experience leading large scale programs.

      • Leadership across a complex matrixed environment

      • Leadership of large global diverse teams and cultures

      • Experience of operating in a fast-paced business critical environment
