      Job Description

      The VP, Sales develops the marketing, sales and profitability within a specific channel of trade, in this case Corrections. They serve as the senior sales development authority for all customers that are earmarked under the specific channel or channels of business. The VP of Sales for Correctionswill engage with channel trade associations to position Vistar as a prominent distributor in the space. They supervise and manage National Account Managers to retain key customers and seek opportunities for growth with National, Regional and Independent customers within the channel. The VP of Sales for Corrections will work with various department leadership including but not limited to Category Management, Purchasing, Finance, Operations, IT, and Human Resources to set the course for the channel. Develop and execute on Joint Business Plans with Key customers.

      Responsibilities include, but are not limited to…

      • Drive profitable growth within the channel(s).
      • Work with Finance to provide forecasted guidance for the channel(s), including monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
      • Provide strategic oversight of the sales operation within the designated channel, while working closely with the Operations teams to manage customer experience and bottom line growth.
      • Lead and execute Financial Proformas for business opportunities, and develop customer proposals to capitalize on new growth terrain.
      • Develop client relationships and drive sales team to foster high levels of retention with existing customers.
      • Work with business departments to ensure fiscal responsibility relating to growth and profitability of the channel(s).
      • Serve as the Channel expert and help draft executable plans for support within various Operating Divisions.
      • Performs other related duties as assigned.

      Compensation

      $165,000 - $200,000 base salary + 60% annual incentive potential

      Required Qualifications

      Bachelor's, or equivalent industry experience
      5-7 years of people management experience
      5-7 years of sales distribution/Corrections sales experience

      Preferred Qualifications

      7-10 years required experience
