  The VP, Tax Operations will be an integral member of TelevisaUnivision’s global tax function, reporting to the Chief Tax Officer & SVP, Tax. The VP will be responsible for tax compliance, with an emphasis on US international taxation, overseeing all aspects of the compliance process. The ideal candidate will have a breadth of in-house and/or advisory experience in worldwide compliance serving a US multinational corporation in the media or technology industry. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Subchapter C, international taxation, and Subchapter K. The VP will partner with members of the tax function and cross-functional teams on global business initiatives and manage relationships with external advisors.

  YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Oversee US and some non-US tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filings and working closely with tax colleagues, finance teams and other stakeholders
  • Manage transfer pricing processes
  • Manage M&A workstreams for the Tax function, such as due diligence and integration
  • Provide expertise on transactions, including analyses of attributes and quantitative modeling
  • Continuously enhance tax compliance processes, leveraging technology
  • Mentor and train other tax colleagues in areas of VP’s expertise

  YOU HAVE:

  • 15+ years of domestic and international tax experience
  • Extensive media and technology industry experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to build and refine financial models
  • Sound judgment in identifying and resolving issues
  • Proficient in OneSource/Corptax
  • CPA and/or graduate degree in Taxation
  • Spanish-language skills are a plus
