- Sets the vision, strategy, and near and long-term business plans and objectives with the aim to maximize performance of the US Cardiovascular portfolio, currently inclusive of Eliquis and Camzyos
- Inspires, engages, and mobilizes Region Business Directors, District Business Managers, and three distinct field forces (two institutional teams and one community/retail team) to drive brand objectives for Eliquis and Camzyos
- Identifies and secures resources and facilitates alignment with matrix team members to successfully & actively lead overall business & account planning; ensuring deep understanding of customer and competitor insights, engagement of all key stakeholders, contracting & access dynamics, pull through and incentive compensation plans that appropriately motivate and drive growth.
- Proactively develops, reviews, and modifies the national business plan.
- Interprets and integrates complex data to develop communication strategies to drive performance and productivity across the nation.
- Develops contingency plans and makes tradeoff decisions in support of strategic business priorities.
- Effectively navigates the Eliquis alliance between Bristol Myers Squibb and Pfizer

- Champions the development of talent at all levels to meet their individual career goals and the goals of the organization.
- 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry is required.
- BA/BS degree and/or advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
- Prior experience in launch brands as well as late-stage brands strongly preferred, in addition to rare disease experience.
- Deep leadership expertise in sales, brand management, sales training, and or/access & pricing with the ability to build and foster high-performing and resilient teams.
- Strong leadership skills to lead and contribute to the overall strategic planning and execution of key deliverables for the division.
- Sound understanding of industry trends, strategic planning, analytical thinking, negotiation, presentation, written and verbal communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven track record of effectively and efficiently driving performance within a matrix organization.

Position Summary
The VP, Sales for US Cardiovascular will provide executive leadership and strategic direction to our US Cardiovascular Sales organization (~700 employees) and will be responsible for leading a team of Region Business Directors, District Business Managers, Therapeutic Area Specialists, and a Sales Operations team. This leader will be responsible for advancing brand objectives, ensuring successful launches, and driving performance for in-line brands at various life-cycle stages. This includes developing, leading, and executing sales & pull through strategies, plans and initiatives to achieve performance objectives.
The leader will be a key member of the US Cardiovascular & Established Brands Leadership Team and will be responsible for ensuring strong matrix collaboration across Marketing, Medical, Market Access & Pricing, and BI&A in line with the US Cardiovascular & Established Brands LT vision and objectives. Additionally, this leader will play an important role in managing the Bristol Myers Squibb-Pfizer Alliance for Eliquis. This role reports to the SVP of US Cardiovascular & Established Brands and is based in Princeton, New Jersey with significant travel required.
