  The vacancy for a Warehouse Assistant at Rijk Zwaan USA

  The purpose of the Warehouse Assistant role is to support all activities within the Rijk Zwaan warehouse.

  What are the typical responsibilities for the Warehouse Assistant?

  • Perform operations including receiving, processing and shipping product
  • Work as a team to develop strategies and operational policies that are aligned with company goals
  • Provide support to internal sales department
  • Maintain and promote highest standards of customer service
  • Perform all necessary operational functions to support warehouse team and operations effectively and efficiently.
  • Follow warehouse policies and procedures
  • Attend third party training days when necessary on topics that pertain to the job
  • Maintenance of warehouse and equipment
  • Deliver seed orders to customers as required
  • Monitor quality data and update labels when necessary
  • Repackage product when necessary
  • Support seed quality control
  • Troubleshoot shipping issues
  • Shipment Tracking - Domestic and International
  • Manage packing and shipping materials
  • Coordinate and Track Inventory Disposals
  • Use personal protective equipment as required
  • Other duties as required

  Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years warehouse experience
  • Experience with seed processing operations a plus
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Good computer skills/Microsoft Office Suite
  • Team Oriented with excellent people skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Organized - self starter
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs

  Salary Range: $26.50 - $31.25/hr

Within the base salary range, an employee’s pay is determined by work location and other factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
