Job Description

- Plan, organize, and coordinate with the inventory control team on daily counts and systematic adjustments.
- Assists the Warehouse Supervisor in providing guidance and on-going training to all Warehouse associates; identifies and discusses mistakes with associate to provide opportunity for associates’ continuous improvement.
- Assists Warehouse supervisor in resolving any compliance or shipping issues. Holds daily huddle with associates prior to shift start to discuss goals and targets for the day.
- Inspect all shipments of products leaving/arriving are within plant standards.
- Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal OSHA standards.
- Control the staging and organization of the materials in the warehouse. This includes ensuring FEFO is followed, accurate counts, and correct Blends are being used.
- Be responsible for day-to-day entry and data integrity of inventory adjustments
- Examine operational documentation, inventory activity, and physical materials to ensure accuracy of information provided.
- Cycle count and correct inventory as required.
- Assist in the physical movement to/from staging locations when needed to ensure the utmost efficiency.
- Maintains accurate inventory counts on a weekly basis
- Performs weekly & monthly physical reconciliations and month end counts
- Labeling product accurately in the facility
- communicate interdepartmentally regarding inventory levels and movements
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred
- Must be comfortable working with computers (MS-Word, Excel, Warehouse Management Systems)
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Be able to communicate well with employees, vendors, and customers in a prompt and professional manner
- Organized and able to execute responsibilities in an efficient and timely manner, able to understand and identify the highest priorities
- Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment while dealing with functions involving inventory control.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift packages and product between 50 lbs-75lbs consistently
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Flexible in scheduling (1st or second shift as needed)

Role:
The Warehouse Inventory Lead is responsible for auditing and analyzing deliveries, shipments, and stock levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages as well as revising the inventory control procedures whenever needed. Responsible for overseeing cycle counts and ensuring material availability for production. The Warehouse Inventory Lead will carry out the company’s vision and mission through their work, as an integral part of the Vital Proteins team in addition to supporting warehouse operations.
