- GENERAL JOB FUNCTION
- Provide leadership and clerical support for the Shipping Department
- Provide back-up for Warehouse Supervisor, as required.
- Provide leadership at Flambeau Warehouse, when Warehouse Supervisor is not there.
- Provide clerical support for invoicing, bills of lading, ASN labels, and inventory control.
- Provide clerical support for export shipments.
- Assist Supervisor lining up customer orders and calling for carriers.
- Provide timely, objective communication to customer service, as required.
- Retain working knowledge of the warehouse layout, and where the product is located throughout the warehouse.
- Ability to pull orders to be shipped, efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to operate the material handling vehicles efficiently and safely.
- Ability to efficiently and accurately operate small package systems. (UPS and Fed Ex)
- Ability to use database system to determine the status of products.
- Ability to prepare shipping paperwork accurately.
- Ability to effectively fill and ship sample and Express Service (ESD) orders.
- Ability to perform inventory cycle counts accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to work as a team with all fellow shipping associates.
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) as necessary.
- All other duties assigned by Warehouse Supervisor.
- EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of shipping, receiving or warehousing experience.
- General math and reading comprehension – accuracy with numbers.
- Computer literate – Microsoft Office, Delmia, etc.
- Ability to read and understand customer routing guidelines and utilize such as required.
- Ability to manually lift and handle 50lb cartons of material as needed.
- Able to obtain Fork Lift Certification
