Location: This is an onsite position located at our Santa Ana, CA office. Candidates living within a 25 mile range preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective functioning.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-organized warehouse environment.
• Analyze space usage and optimize storage layout to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure accurate placement of materials and inventory.
• Accurately enter material inventory into the ERP system, ensuring all relevant details such as part numbers, quantities, and locations are recorded. Regularly update inventory records to reflect real-time stock levels and maintain data integrity for efficient warehouse operations.
• Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure data accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
• Receive and acknowledge all incoming shipments and materials, verify them against accompanying paperwork for correct part numbers, quantities, and damage, and record receipt in the ERP system.
• Evaluate hazardous receipts, inform the requestor, and organize delivery to an appropriate location for hazardous materials.
• Create shipping labels and ship packages promptly, including any urgent packages that may have missed the freight carrier’s deadline; bring them to the freight carrier’s shipping location (such as FedEx/UPS) as needed to ensure timely delivery.
• Interface with carriers, internal customers, purchasing, finance, and other related departments to resolve problems related to the receipt and distribution of materials.
• Collaborate with various internal and external groups to coordinate return shipments.
• Coordinate internal package pickup and deliver to recipients as required.
• Provide freight tracking information to employees, vendors, or customers who request information
• Assist with other tasks/functions assigned as the need arises with other departments.Qualifications Required for Position
• Minimum of a high school diploma. Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience previously in shipping and receiving, supply chain, and/or logistics experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to communicate both professionally and effectively
• Ability to create professional memos, letters, e-mails, and reports
• Ability to perform work and maintain composure in high stressful situations
• Must have the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and create solutions to problems
• Requires minimal direction and supervision
• Ability to enter data accurately to create shipping labels and information in an ERP system, preferably NetSuite
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and ERP systemWork Environment
• In-person position that requires working indoors in a warehouse environment and at a computer station.
• May require operating a forklift or warehouse equipment.
• Position requires walking, bending, stooping, lifting and carrying.
• Employee must perform tasks that require the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and shoes, protective clothing, and gloves.
