- Delivery of Corporate Warranty Recovery Target. (% of Target).
- Management & Completion of Supplier Accounts (Count of Accounts).
- Supplier Management (Coverage of All Issues/Escalation).
- Supporting New & Future Warranty Processes (Proactive; Recovery).
- Delivery of the Warranty Recovery Corporate Recovery Target by assisting the day-to-day activity across the Global Commercial negotiation cost settlement activities.
- Prioritise & lead the continual creation of UK Sample, Export & Campaign cost data, ensuring a timely and accurate settlement is achieved with the suppliers.
- Lead the quarterly commercial recovery negotiation reviews with all stakeholders, taking ownership to drive closure in a timely manner.
- Lead the escalation requirement presenting all the key supporting evidence in line with policy and contractual procedures.
- Support joint Root Cause Analysis, Containment & Corrective action activity with CoC, Supplier & other X-functional teams.
- Support the “Supplier Approach Strategy” process, driving the cross collaboration and engagement of all stake holders (as required) to identify and obtain all critical data and information.
- Support technical reviews on a face-to-face basis to both internal & external stakeholders up to and at VP level.
- Assist the creation of Deviation request in parallel with Purchase and Legal to assist procurement.
- Raise and transact Debit / Credits in line with Supplier Agreement, Audit and Corporate policy.
- Support pipeline of additional recovery opportunities across the Campaign & Projects.
- Draft financial settlement agreement in readiness for legal review and sign off.
- Raise and transact Debit in line with Supplier Agreement, Audit and Corporate policy.
- Work in parallel with the Parts Analysis team to maximise the recovery opportunities through a data driven approach, assisting their decision making around key priorities for testing and further investigation.
- Undertake any other work as directed by the management teams in connection with their job as may be requested.

- Engineering (Quality, PE, COC, STA, PVT).
- Automotive Quality (Performance & Financial Reviews).
- Background in the Automotive Industry (within an OEM or Supplier), with some experience in a fast paced, sometimes challenging capacity.
- Good up to date technical knowledge of automotive vehicle systems, their interaction, purpose and effect on each other.
- Ability to analyse, understand and break down complex, multidimensional problems to achieve common goals & departmental objectives.
- Proficient with the use of PowerPoint (Presentation Creation) – with an ability to create & effectively tell a story through investigation work and proficient with the use of MS Excel (Data Analysis & Charts) – with an ability to run and analyse data if required.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Warranty Recovery is integral pillar within Quality Performance (QP), as part of the wider Automotive Quality (AQ) corporate function within JLR.
The key deliverable for Warranty Recovery is to recover the losses from the supply base where they have supplied defective components, as a result of their design/manufacturing, leading to a customer warranty claim. Our performance forms part of the overall AQ annual scorecard, as a contributor toward the corporate Warranty SPU. This role requires someone who has the ability to interact with customers both internally within JLR and externally within the global supplier network.
THE ROLE
The role provides the candidate with autonomy to project lead and manage the suppliers accounts to maximise the potential recovery, through varying activities. In addition to the standard operating process, other areas are required such as, escalation of supplier rejections through project style management, supporting new products and suppliers with warranty agreements and deviations, developing new & ad hoc processes to find new ways to enhance recovery and seeking out unknown opportunities to support the overall annual target. At times the role can be challenging but with a real sense of self satisfaction, so requires an individual with an ability to lead.
The core activities centres around identifying and reviewing all available supporting data, be that technical, financial or statistical for the concurrence of the warranty issues, providing clear evidence of root cause and the subsequent responsibilities. In addition to that, compiling all the relevant cost calculations and supporting data for each individual suppliers, to proportion the cost liability.
The output of this work underpins the whole process leading to the understanding of liability, final negotiation and the settlement of the commercial costs. The role will require the individual to work across different areas & functions both internally and externally.

In order to be considered for this position you need to hold a formal qualification such as Degree within Engineering or any other relevant subjects.
The successful candidate needs to have an experience in a financial/commercial environment, with previous interaction on contract management, enforcement and control; knowledge of root cause analysis, its tools and techniques that will require deployment (8D, SPD).
