- Oversee and lead a team of 4-8 welders.
- Conduct coaching conversations and develop performance plans.
- Teach and coach welding processes, ensuring all welds are completed to the highest standards.
- Perform and supervise advanced welding techniques (e.g., multi-pass welding, pipe welding) on complex processes.
- Design and fabricate metal parts, components, and assemblies based on blueprints, drawings, or project specifications.
- Mentor and train less experienced welders, providing guidance and support to improve skills.
- Inspect completed welds for strength, durability, and quality, performing tests as needed.
- Maintain welding equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex welding issues, adjusting techniques and settings as required.
- Work closely with leadership, engineers, and other trades to ensure welding work meets specifications and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations at all times.
- Follow lean manufacturing guidelines, providing continuous improvement suggestions for gained efficiency.
- 7+ years of experience in welding, with extensive experience in fabrication work.
- Expert knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and specialized welding methods.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience leading and mentoring welding teams.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Extensive experience with stainless steel welding.
- Experience welding aluminum and carbon steel.
- Lead experience with overseeing and supporting a team.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.92 - $45.87/hr.
