What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and lead a high-performing team of 10-15 Workers’ Compensation claim specialists
- Monitor performance trends and provide coaching to improve claims handling practices
- Collaborate with leadership to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to best practices in claims management
- Foster a constructive team culture that encourages collaboration and accountability
What is Required (Qualifications):
- HS diploma or equivalent required; 4-year college degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Workers’ Compensation insurance industry
- At least 3 years of claims handling experience in multiple jurisdictions
- Must have or be willing to obtain CPCU designation within 3 years post-hire
- Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Industry certifications such as AIC, SCLA, CPCU, or WRP (WC) are preferred
- Formal or informal leadership or mentorship experience is desired
