      Title: Work COmp Specialist

      Location: Mountlake Terrace, WA

      Status: Full Time

      Hours: M-F

      The Work Comp Specialist is a multi-faceted position to support ATI’s work comp services in the clinics. The position will include but is not limited to providing functional capacity evaluations (FCEs), work conditioning/work hardening services, ergonomic assessments, post offer testing, assists in treatment of physical therapy of acute worker’s compensation patients, documentation quality assurance, and training/coaching when needed. The Work Comp Specialist will partner with District Directors, Clinic Directors, FIRST program directors, and the centralized case management team to deliver, improve, grow and promote work comp services for ATI.

      Responsibilities

      • Influence, Mentor, Develop and Perform acute work comp physical therapy and work conditioning/work hardening services with highly productive providers, clinics, and pods. • Perform functional capacity evaluations (FCEs), work conditioning/work hardening services, ergonomic assessments, pre-employment screenings, aid in delivery of clinical worker’s compensation services including acute worker’s compensation patients within guidelines of state licensure practice act, and post offer testing across multiple ATI locations • Partner with centralized Clinical Case Management team and operations leaders to develop ways to grow and promote work comp services in your market, including managing and developing relationships with external case managers, physicians, vocational rehab counselors and attorneys as needed. • Align with centralized case management team to communicate with local clinic directors and clinicians regarding patient/client progress, and discuss updated treatment programs as needed to ensure patients/clients are receiving the highest quality of care • Complete daily patient care notes, progress notes, discharge notes and other required forms as requested by treating physicians, insurances or attorneys

      Qualifications

      Minimum Education Required: • Degree in athletic training OR • Completion of physical therapist assistant program, occupational therapy assistant program OR • Degree in physical, occupational therapy. Preferred:

      Minimum Experience Required: • 2 years of clinical experience Preferred: • 3+ years treating and managing work comp patients

      Knowledge Skills and Abilities• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders• Ability to coach and mentor peers• High attention to detail for reviewing and auditing clinician FCE documentation• Knowledge of work comp industry and regulated protocols, i.e. insurance/payors, attorney and case management processes• Ability to maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees• Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in positive work relationships with customers, coworkers and managers• Ability to comply with ATI standards of operations

      Licenses and Certifications Required: • Ability to acquire appropriate state licensure, certification or registration (per state requirements), current and in good standing **Licensure will be assessed and need determined based on state-by-state analysis of practice act and business need. Preferred: • Licensed Athletic Trainer OR • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant OR • Licensed Physical, Occupational Therapist
