What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Accurately gather and transmit workers' compensation information from insured, claimants, and internal staff
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve lost time Workers' Compensation claims, including litigated claims
- Mediate situations between the insured and the insurance company, researching coverage issues as needed
- Maintain accurate information in the computer system throughout the claims process
- Generate checks for indemnity and medical payments daily
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma; college degree preferred
- 3-5 years of claims experience with a strong background in Workers' Compensation claims handling
- Active state-specific Workers Compensation License required or ability to acquire within three months of hire
- Proficient knowledge of Workers' Compensation insurance coverage and claims processing procedures
- Strong grasp of claims principles, practices, and insurance coverage interpretation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Technical designations encouraged, such as AIC and CPCU
- Experience adjudicating lost time claims across multiple jurisdictions
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to various software programs
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to foster relationships
- Experience in delivering impactful solutions and enhancing client experience
