Job Summary Business Strategy intern participants will assist DXP’s Digital Platforms Team (Operations & Planning) team on a variety of projects within the organization. This role is an exciting opportunity that will focus on supporting DXP’s annual strategic goals and operating model. Candidate will have hands on experience assisting the team with managing team workflows and defining processes, acquiring strong transferrable skills, gaining visibility into Plan of Record Execution and Capacity Planning, and gaining knowledge of DXP’s Digital Transformation goals and Comcast’s top tier customer experiences. The Xfinity Digital Operations & Planning Intern will gather a strong understanding of the DXP strategy in support of achieving budget and long-term goals. Own the intake process to ensure all requests to the DXP team are curated and understood before moving into the plan of record. Own the coordination of the Discovery process for all asks ensuring clear understanding of the needs the requestor is trying to solve for and clarity regarding which DXP team will be best suited to support their needs as well as linking the requests to our overall strategy. Owning the coordination and management of the DXP operating model to ensure all stakeholders and the DXP are aligned and involved enabling greater collaboration and enhanced outcomes. Partner with the Finance, HR, and Portfolio Management teams to always ensure full alignment and connectivity. Our Team: Eric Sweeney – VP, Platforms Cheryl Stump – Executive Director, DXP Business Process Effectiveness Emily Hamilton – Manager, Business Process Effectiveness Caroline Giangiordano – Analyst, Business Process Effectiveness Job Description Core Responsibilities, include but are not limited to: Understanding of overall goals of Comcast and DXP (Digital Experiences and Platforms), including customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service. Assists in creation of process documentation, intake reports, and intake summary decks. Provide daily support to Digital Platforms (Operations & Planning) team (includes notetaking, meeting summary, documentation of action items and open questions). Support management of DXP intake process and learns internal software systems. Provide suggestions to management for improving internal processes and intake workflows. Engage with DXP team members to understand roles and responsibilities across the organization. Support and shadow Digital Platforms (Operations & Planning) with quarterly capacity planning. Support process definition and material creation for DXP Business Process Effectiveness. Accepts designated, business-focused projects to research, propose ideas, and present final project during the internship related to DXP 2024 strategic initiatives. Requirements: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university. Currently an active 2024 T. Howard Foundation Program Participant Available to work 40 hours per week for 11 weeks.
