Accounts Payable Associate

About the role:

As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will perform accounts payable activities within our invoice processing systems, with responsibility for resolving moderately complex invoice, vendor, payment, and accounting issues. You will maintain contact with vendors and company personnel and independently manages non-routine transactions and exceptions. You will also perform selected month-end closing and reconciliation activities to help ensure the role records costs in the General Ledger in the correct period. You will report to the Accounts Payable Lead and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA site. Hybrid Work Schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process purchase order and non-purchase order invoices following company policy, approval requirements, and internal controls.
• Review invoices and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance with company requirements.
• Monitor invoice workflow and resolve processing exceptions.
• Resolve and escalate invoices requiring further research before posting with the appropriate party, internally or externally.
• Work with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve payment /invoice discrepancies and obtain required information.
• Support audits, account reconciliations, AP aging reviews, reporting, and special projects by analyzing documentation and data.
• Establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Partner with other departments to ensure expenses are recorded, and following company requirements.
• Apply and maintain accounts payable policies, procedures, and internal controls; recognize exceptions and raise potential risks or control concerns.
• Analyze invoices blocked for payment, determine the required corrective action, and coordinate resolution and release.
• Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and reporting as assigned.
• Provide guidance on Accounts Payable processes and assist with knowledge sharing or training for less-experienced team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of relevant Accounts Payable, Accounting, Finance, or shared services experience, including resolving non-routine transactions and discrepancies.
• Experience with SAP or another enterprise resource planning system preferred

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $64,800 to $81,000 per year.
