Draft notice. This board is public. This policy is a draft prepared ahead of a legal and compliance review, and it describes what the software does today.
Privacy policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
The short version
- You do not make an account here. If you want job alerts, you can give us your email address; that is the only thing any page asks for, and it is optional.
- You can read every job page without giving us anything and without agreeing to anything.
- Our own measurement — product analytics — is off unless you choose to turn it on. Declining is one click, and you can change your mind from the footer of any page. Google’s ads, below, do not depend on that choice.
- We do not sell your information. Search results and job pages show ads from Google, which may use cookies to personalise them. No other page carries ads.
- When you apply, you leave this site for the employer’s own application system. What happens there is covered by their privacy policy, not this one.
- If you arrive from a link in one of Talentify’s emails, up to two cookies remember that, and opening a job’s apply step tells Talentify which job it was — never anything about your application. Neither cookie is set for visitors in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. See Arriving from a Talentify email.
Who we are
This board is run by Talentify. The full legal entity name, its registered address, and a contact for data protection questions are confirmed at the pre-launch legal review; until then, write to privacy@talentify.io.
What this board is
It keeps one permanent page per job, per company, per place. When a matching job is open, the page shows the posting and links you to the employer. When nothing is open, the page keeps the record of that job at that company. The job information itself is read live from Talentify’s own job system each time a page is viewed. This board keeps no copy of it.
What we store
| What | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Your cookie choice | So we know whether measurement is allowed, and can show that you were asked. The record holds your answer and the date and time you gave it — nothing else, and nothing that identifies you. | Your own browser (local storage), on your device. It is not sent to us and it is not stored on any server. Clearing your browser data erases it, and you will be asked again. |
The _ga and _ga_ cookies, only if you accept measurement | So Google Analytics can tell a returning browser from a new one and group the pages of one visit. They hold a random number, not who you are. | Your browser, for up to two years. Clearing your browser data erases them; declining measurement stops them being used. |
| Ordinary server records | Serving a page and keeping the site working and secure. These are the standard records any web host keeps — the page requested, the time, the browser type and the network address it came from. | Vercel, our hosting provider, for a short period. |
| Your email address, if you sign up for job alerts | To pass your sign-up to Talentify’s messaging system, which emails you a link to confirm. Stored with it: the job interest the page already showed (the job title and place, or your search and its place), which kind of page you signed up on, the version of the wording you saw, and the time. | Our own database (Supabase), only until Talentify’s messaging system accepts the sign-up — normally within seconds, and never more than 7 days: if it cannot be delivered by then, your address is deleted. Once your address is gone, a record of the sign-up without it (the job or search, the page kind, the outcome) is kept for 30 more days, then deleted. This is kept whether or not you accepted measurement. |
| Request counters | Stopping one source, or a flood from many, from swamping the sign-up form or the apply-step reports. A counter is a number against a scrambled, one-way code made from your network address and the date — never the address itself, and never a page you read or a job you looked at — plus one count of sign-ups, and one of apply-step reports, across the whole board. | Our own database (Supabase), deleted within two days. |
The sg_r cookie, if you arrive from a Talentify email from outside the countries named in Arriving from a Talentify email | So the board does not ask you to sign up for job alerts when you already get Talentify’s emails. It holds only the value 1: that this browser came from a link in an email from Talentify. Nothing that identifies you. | Your browser, for 90 days. |
The sgi cookie, if you arrive from a Talentify email from outside those countries | A random reference Talentify’s messaging system issued for the click that brought you here. Scripts on the page cannot read it. Used only when you open a job’s apply step (see Arriving from a Talentify email). | Your browser, for 7 days. |
| That this browser signed up for job alerts | So the sign-up card is not shown to you again. | Your own browser (local storage). It is not sent to us, and clearing your browser data erases it. |
| An apply-step report, if you arrived from a Talentify email | To tell Talentify’s messaging system that you opened a job’s apply step. It holds the sgi reference, the job page’s address and the time — nothing about your application. | Our own database (Supabase), only until the messaging system accepts it — normally within minutes, and never more than 7 days. A record of it is then kept for 8 more days, so opening the same apply step again is not reported twice, then deleted. |
What we do not store
- No accounts, no passwords, no CVs.
- This board keeps no profile of you, does not follow you across other websites, and does not fingerprint your device. If you sign up for job alerts and confirm, Talentify’s messaging system keeps your email address and the kind of job you asked about — see Job alerts by email. The ads on search results and job pages are Google’s, described below.
- No record, anywhere on our side, of which jobs you looked at — unless you turn measurement on, or sign up for job alerts, which stores the one job or search you signed up from (see Job alerts by email), or arrive from a Talentify email and open a job’s apply step, which is reported as described in Arriving from a Talentify email.
- We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Measurement, and the choice you are given
The banner asks one question: may we measure how the site is used. Measurement means product analytics — two tools, PostHog and Google Analytics, that record which pages are opened and how they are used, so we can see what is broken and what is confusing. Google Analytics is told the address of the page — on a job page that address names the job, its place and its company — but never your search, and it is not used to show you ads. Session recording, which replays a visit, is deliberately not switched on; switching it on would be a separate decision. If you accept, the job-alert card also records that it was shown and that a sign-up was made, with the kind of page it was on — never your email address.
The answer starts at no. Until you choose, and if you choose to decline, none of it runs. Accept and decline are one click each, side by side. Closing the page is not an answer, so the banner has no dismiss button. You can change your answer at any time from the footer of any page.
What runs whether or not you accept
Error reports. When a page breaks, a report is sent so we can fix it. It carries the address of the page, the fault itself, and basic information about your browser. Your search is removed from it before it is sent, along with the request headers and cookies, and it never carries an email address you typed. It is not a recording of your visit, it is not used to measure you, and it is switched off completely until an error-reporting key is configured. We treat this as keeping the site working rather than as watching you — and we say so here rather than let you assume Decline stops it.
Ads. Search results and job pages show ads from Google AdSense, to every visitor; the home page, the apply step and these policy pages do not. Whether or not you accept measurement, Google receives the address of the page you are on — on search results, that includes what you searched for and where — and your IP address. Google and its partners use cookies to serve these ads, and may personalise them based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads from Google in its Ads Settings, and from other companies at aboutads.info.
Apply-step reports. If you arrived from a link in a Talentify email, opening a job’s apply step is reported to Talentify’s messaging system whether or not you accept measurement, as described in Arriving from a Talentify email. Without that email visit, or in the countries named there, nothing is reported.
If session recording is ever switched on, it will run with input masking, so anything typed into a field is hidden before it leaves your browser.
Who processes information for us
| Who | What they do |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts the site and keeps the ordinary server records described above. |
| Supabase | Runs the board’s own small database: request counters, and job-alert sign-ups and apply-step reports until they are handed to Talentify’s messaging system. |
| Talentify’s messaging system | Receives your email address and job interest when you sign up for job alerts, emails you the link to confirm, and — only once you confirm — sends the alerts and handles unsubscribing. When you confirm, it records the network address and browser you confirmed from, encrypted, as proof of your consent. If you arrive from one of its emails, it is also told when you open a job’s apply step (see Arriving from a Talentify email). |
| Amazon Web Services | Its email service delivers the confirmation and job-alert emails Talentify’s messaging system sends, so it handles your email address and the content of those emails. |
| Talentify’s own job system | Supplies the job information each page shows. It is asked about jobs, never about you. |
| Anthropic | AI processing. Talentify uses Anthropic’s Claude models to tidy up job information before it reaches this board — cleaning job titles and place names, and reading pay out of a posting’s own text. That runs over job postings in batches, not over anything you do. This board sends nothing you type or click to Anthropic: it has no AI feature facing visitors at all. Anthropic does not train its models on data sent through its API. If that ever changes, this policy changes before the feature ships. |
| Sentry | Receives the error reports described above — page address, the fault, basic browser information, with your search removed. No session recording. It does nothing at all until an error-reporting key is configured. |
| PostHog | Product analytics — only if you accept measurement. It is not started at all until then. |
| Google Analytics | Product analytics, through Google Tag Manager — only if you accept measurement. Neither is loaded until then. It receives the same events PostHog does, and the page address without your search. Google signals and ad personalisation are off. |
| Google AdSense | Ads on search results and job pages, for every visitor. Google uses cookies to serve them and may personalise them; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services and its Ads Settings. |
| Resend | Not used by this board, which sends no email. Job-alert email comes from Talentify’s messaging system. |
Job alerts by email
Job pages, the apply step and short search results can offer job alerts: “tell me when this reopens”, or “email me when these jobs open”. It is optional, and it asks only for your email address.
- What is collected: your email address and the job interest the page already knows — the job title and place of the page, or your search and the place it was run for — with the kind of page, the version of the wording you agreed to, and the time. The job or search is stored with your address even if you declined measurement: it is what the alerts are about.
- Why: to send you job alerts from Talentify, by email only. It signs you up for nothing else, and your address is not sold.
- Where it goes: this board sends it to Talentify’s messaging system and keeps it only until that system accepts it (see “What we store”). It sends no network address or browser details with it.
- Confirming: Talentify emails you a link to confirm, sent through Amazon Web Services’ email service. Nothing else is sent until you click it, and if you never do, you are not subscribed. When you confirm, the network address and browser you confirmed from are recorded, encrypted, as proof of your consent.
- How long: this board keeps your address at most 7 days, and the sign-up without it 30 days more (see “What we store”). An address that is never confirmed is erased when its confirmation link expires. A confirmed one is kept to send you job alerts until you unsubscribe; after that, a record that you opted out is kept so you are not emailed again.
- Stopping: every alert has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also write to privacy@talentify.io to have your address deleted.
Arriving from a Talentify email
Links to this board in Talentify’s emails may pass through one address on this site, which sets up to two cookies and then takes you to the page the link names.
In the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom (with Gibraltar, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man) and Switzerland, neither cookie is set. Where our hosting provider places your connection in one of those countries, the link simply takes you to the page, the board may still offer you job alerts, and opening an apply step reports nothing. Where it cannot tell which country you are in, no cookie is set either. A visit that sets no sgi also removes any sgi an earlier email link left in your browser.
sg_rholds only the value 1: that this browser arrived from a Talentify email. It carries no identifier. It lasts 90 days, and while it is there the board does not offer you job alerts.sgiholds a random reference that Talentify’s messaging system issued for the click that brought you here. Scripts on the page cannot read it, and it never appears in a page address. It lasts 7 days.- Opening the apply step: while you hold the
sgicookie, opening a job’s apply step tells Talentify’s messaging system which job’s apply step was opened, and when — once per job for each email link you followed, however often you open it. That is how Talentify knows its email led to an apply click. It learns nothing about the application itself: not whether you applied, and nothing you enter on the employer’s system.
Clearing this site’s cookies removes both, and the apply step then reports nothing.
When you apply for a job
Applying does not happen here. The apply button takes you to a step that names the site you are about to go to, and then to the employer’s own application system in a new tab. Two markers travel on that link — utm_source=talentify and utm_medium=jobboard — which tell the employer the visit came from Talentify. They say nothing about you. From the moment you arrive on the employer’s system, their privacy policy applies and this one does not. If you arrived from a Talentify email, opening the apply step is also reported to Talentify — see Arriving from a Talentify email.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how it is used, and to complain to your data protection authority. In practice, this board holds almost nothing to ask about: no account, no profile, and no record of your reading beyond the apply-step report described above, which it deletes. If you signed up for job alerts, your address is with Talentify’s messaging system, and unsubscribing from any alert stops them. Write to privacy@talentify.io and we will answer.
Your cookie choice is not held by us at all — it is in your browser. To erase it, clear this site’s data in your browser, or use the change link in the footer to set a different answer.
Children
This board is for people looking for work and is not directed at children.
Where information is handled
Our providers operate internationally, so information may be handled outside the country you are in. The specific transfer arrangements are confirmed at the pre-launch legal review.
Changes to this policy
When what the software does changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too.
