About DISA Uranium
DISA Uranium™ Corporation (DISA Uranium) is redefining American uranium recovery and production. Headquartered in Casper, Wyoming, the Company recovers uranium and vanadium from abandoned uranium mine (AUM) waste, remediates legacy sites left across the western United States, and applies its patented high-pressure slurry ablation technology (HPSA™) to make conventional uranium production cleaner, more efficient, and more economic.
We hold the only U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license to treat and recover AUM waste across multiple sites - and with a growing conventional resource base behind it, the Company is building the domestic capacity to turn American waste and American ore into American fuel.
Our mission is simple: restore the past while powering the future, and rebuild a secure domestic uranium supply chain.
Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist owns the full accounts payable cycle for DISA Uranium, from invoice receipt to payment and month-end close. The role reports to the Controller and is based in Colorado.
You will process invoices and payments for a wide mix of vendors: equipment suppliers, engineering and environmental contractors, field services, utilities and corporate providers. Many invoices tie to remediation projects, field sites and capital work, so accurate coding by project and cost center matters.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is precise, organized and comfortable owning a process. You will also help tighten AP controls and workflows as transaction volume grows.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review and enter vendor invoices accurately and on time.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents, and resolve discrepancies with vendors and buyers.
• Code invoices to the correct general ledger accounts, projects, sites and cost centers.
• Route invoices for approval according to the company's delegation of authority.
Payments
• Prepare weekly payment runs by check, ACH and wire, and submit them for approval.
• Manage payment timing to capture discounts and avoid late fees.
• Process employee expense reports and corporate card transactions, checking them against policy.
Vendor management
• Set up and maintain vendor records, including W-9s, banking details and insurance certificates.
• Verify all new or changed vendor banking information before use to prevent payment fraud.
• Answer vendor questions, reconcile vendor statements and resolve past-due items.
Month-end close and reporting
• Reconcile the AP subledger to the general ledger each month.
• Prepare accrual support for invoices received but not yet entered.
• Produce AP aging and cash requirements reports for the Controller.
• Support project cost tracking by keeping AP coding accurate for remediation and capital projects.
Compliance and controls
• Prepare and file annual 1099s and keep vendor tax records current.
• Follow internal controls, including segregation of duties and approval rules.
• Provide documentation for audits and help answer auditor requests.
• Suggest and help put in place improvements to AP workflows and automation.
Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables and reconciliations.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage high invoice volume under deadlines.
• Discretion with confidential financial and vendor information.
Preferred

• AP experience in mining, energy, construction, oil and gas or another project-based industry.
• Experience with project or job cost accounting.
• Experience with AP automation tools (such as Bill.com, Ramp or Tipalti).
• Experience with 1099 reporting and sales and use tax.
Benefits
Compensation and Benefits
• Base salary: $68K to $70K per year, based on experience.
• Annual bonus tied to individual performance and company success.
• Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off.
