Administrative Specialist

This vacancy is for an Administrative Specialist position with the Department of Commerce, U.S. Census Bureau, duty stationed at multiple Regional Offices.

This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Administrative Specialist, 0301-7/9/11, FPL GS-11 positions within the Census Bureau in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.

Duties

• Plan, organize, direct, and manage the administrative functions of the regional office.
• Monitor the Program Division Overhead project to ensure that salaries, training, and other object expenditures are within budget.
• Advise the Regional Director and other officials on human resource management and related issues.

• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• This is a NON-BARGAINING unit position.
• The work schedule for this position is Mixed Tour.
• With a Mixed Tour work schedule, an employee may be changed between full-time, part-time and intermittent work schedules to accommodate fluctuating workloads and is subject to a signed agreement.
