Backend Engineer

Position: Backend Engineer
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 6+ Months Contract-to-Hire
RATE RANGE: $60-70/hour

POSITION SUMMARY:
The client is looking for a Software Developer for its current and next generations of Service and ERP systems. This project is focused on their logistics applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developers will work on the Supply Chain Application development team.
• Design, develop, and implement mission-critical applications using the .NET Core and MySQL technology stack in AWS or other cloud environments.
• Design and develop robust, scalable, high-performing, high-volume production applications with users across the globe.
• Build internal systems and support business needs with your domain expertise.
• This position will work closely with application developers, business analysts, business stakeholders, and QA teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• 5-8 years of solid experience with .NET Core, Java, Microservices, and Enterprise application development
• 5+ years of solid programming experience with C#, .Net Core, Web API
• Experience in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server
• Expert knowledge of Web Services, REST, jQuery, SOAP, and JSON is required
• Experience with Kafka and Redis
• Good Unit Testing and Integration Testing practices
• Prior experience on homegrown enterprise-level applications is preferable
• Agile/SCRUM Software Development Process experience is a plus

• Bachelor/Master degree
